Many thanks to Noah Fazer and Austin Bomkamp for their assistance shepherding passengers to and from the airplane. More thanks to Austin for his photography.
I will be hosting a half day session ground school session to explore the Stevens Point Area Flying Clubs Cessna Skyhawk. N44CU is a 172N with a glass panel making it a Technically Advanced Aircraft. The workshop isn’t required for members to get checked out, but will certainly help with the process. There is no charge for the workshop but SPAFC member must reserve a seat.

Brad Tischendorf made his first solo on May 5, 2024 in Skyhawk N44CU. He is the first Stevens Point Area Flying Club member to make their solo in the club’s new Skyhawk.
I enjoyed this article about flying to Mackinac Island in Michigan. That is definitely on my list for the summer.

A new opportunity is coming to Stevens Point. The Stevens Point Area Flying Club has newly acquired a Cessna 172 Skyhawk with a robust 180 horsepower engine and a beautiful glass (digital screens) instrument panel. I’m excited to be able to teach in such a capable airplane.

I thoroughly enjoyed attending the Midwest LSA Expo. There were many informative sessions on the potential changes to light sport aviation. I checked out a number of S-LSA airplanes. I got to test fly the one pictured, a TL Sport – Sirius. Nothing like that new airplane smell.

We stumbled across some old photographs. My sister Sue took these when I stopped in LaCrosse on a student cross country flight, August 8, 1990. This was back when I had hair and a waist.

A beautiful Sunday morning flight down to Portage for a pancake breakfast.
