I spent much of the winter months, when the flying had slowed down, studying for my Advanced Ground Instructor certificate. It is much of the same material as required for the Certified Flight Instructor knowledge exam. Added to it were a smattering of questions about hot air balloons, helicopters, autogyros, weight shift craft, and powered parachutes. I’m technically approved to teach ground school for these topics. I think I’ll wait until I’ve actually flow them first.

Owen and his folks joined me for the Waupaca spot landing contest. He absolutely squealed on takeoff. It was a delight.

We are all longing to fly above green fields in warm weather. It is coming soon. In the mean time, we’ll be enjoying the company of new and continuing pilots during our Sport Pilot Ground School, being offered at the Waupaca airport. Come join us.
